Over 9,000 Kiwis experience a stroke each year – that’s one every hour! Research shows us that within the next decade this is projected to rise by 40%. The Stroke Foundation is the only national charity in New Zealand solely focused on the prevention of and recovery from stroke. For 40 years, we have actively promoted ways to avoid stroke and dedicated ourselves to working closely with stroke survivors across the country.
Become a Stroke Champion and raise funds to support our 29 Community Stroke Advisors across the country who provided over 5,500 stroke survivors and their family/whānau and carers with critical support in the last year.
Three quarters of strokes are preventable, so by moving more you are taking an important step to improving your physical health and reducing your own risk of stroke!
Together we can #fightstroke.
